Steve & Mez Hunter Valley marriage celebrations

Image
Steve and Mez  I first met Steve and Mez via Skype as they began to arrange their Australian marriage celebrations from overseas. Months of planning and organisation all came to a perfect conclusion as family and friends gathered in the Hunter Valley to celebrate with the gorgeous couple.

Steve and Mez were very happy with the celebrant services offered by Laura Craddock:
"Laura truly was excellent. From the moment we first spoke to her on the phone all the way through to the ceremony on our big day, she was just a pleasure to work with and was amazing on the day, ensuring our wedding was simply perfect." - Steve and Mez

Phoebe and Ryan's Taronga Zoo wedding

Image
Phoebe and Ryan were thrilled with every aspect of their Taronga Zoo wedding in Sydney, but what they loved most was their marriage ceremony performed by modern Sydney celebrant Laura Craddock. "Laura was very professional to work with, but, most importantly, so personable, relaxed, warm, and accommodating. So many of our guests asked us how we found Laura - in fact, we'd witnessed our friends be married by Laura last year, and knew we'd love to have her marry us - Laura really makes the ceremony personal. Our guests commented that they really enjoyed the ceremony - it was fun, and really personalised."
"Whilst Laura's happy to be guided by your wishes and vision for the day, she also has plenty of suggestions and options if you just don't know where to start with everything.
Laura really captured our relationship and conveyed it so well, after meeting with us twice in the lead up to the day (and was also very prompt in replying to emails as we m…

When will same-sex marriage be made legal in Australia?

Image
Australian Parliament is currently debating changes to the Marriage Act 1961,  which would allow same-sex couples to marry in Australia 2018. This follows a resounding 'yes' vote in the 2017 plebiscite on Marriage Equality. The contentious postal vote revealed that 61.6% of Australians believe same-sex marriage should be legalised.
Prime minister Malcolm Turnbull has pledged that parliament will vote on the issue of marriage equality before Christmas. Changes to the Marriage Act 1961 will need to be passed in the House of Representatives and the Senate. The earliest same-sex marriage could be ratified and accepted into law would be December 8, but there are no concrete timeframes in place and it coule be much later. Once same-sex weddings are made legal, LGBTI couples will first need to lodge a Notice Of Intended Marriage with their celebrant in order to be able to marry. There is then a minimum one-month waiting period required before the marriage can take place.  …

Alex & Tom's 'free range' wedding: Royal Botanic Gardens

This 'free range wedding' was great fun to be a part of. Alex and Tom met each other (and their guests) at the NSW Art Gallery, then together we all wandered down to the Botanic Gardens for an intimate ceremony in the Herb Garden. This set the tone for a warm, relaxed ceremony and a wonderful celebration of love.

"We were really pleased and happy with you as our celebrant, you did a wonderful job." - Tom & Alex

Watsons Bay elopement Victoria and Shane traveled all the way from Nelson City in the South Island of New Zealand to elope at beautiful Watsons Bay. They had fallen in love and become engaged there several months earlier and couldn't think of a better place to marry.

"Laura, Sydney Celebrant, helped us to make it all happen without a single glitch! ...Nothing was a problem to Laura - and she communicates so well, that being separated from us by the Tasman Sea was never a hurdle.
